MIEDOS INCONSCIENTES

In this oil on canvas art work, part of the "The Diván" series, the artist explores family fears from a surreal perspective. The background of lilac, yellow and blue-green tones creates a dreamlike atmosphere, while the blue mountains and dark rocks suggest an enigmatic landscape. In the center, a giant earthy rock supports a strange circle with legs, within which lies a family of four dressed elegantly in shades of blue, with the father standing out in red. The scene is populated by numerous children, who reflect the multiplicity of concerns and fears that can arise in family dynamics. The fears, represented in the form of strange beings of green, blue, purple and magenta, emerge outward from the circle, surrounding family and children. This arrangement suggests how fears can influence family relationships and everyday life, affecting both parents and children. The earthy color palette used on the beings and family reinforces the connection to the earth and human nature. , emphasizing the universality of the familiar fears we face. This work invites the viewer to reflect on the complexity of family relationships and how fears can shape our interactions and experiences in life.
